Several people are wondering why certain app’s colors have changed from their school colors to a common blue/gray theme. I was contacted by the Collegiate Licensing Company (who manage many school’s licensing and trademarks) and asked to remove the color schemes of several schools who did not wish me to use them. I found it highly odd that a school could have rights to colors but for their defense they cited me to a somewhat recent court case involving several schools vs. Smack Apparel. I, unfortunately, had no choice to change the colors or they could simply contact Apple and have the app removed from the store altogether. While the app lost some uniqueness and school spirit, the content remains the same and will continue to give you updated schedules, rosters and more.
